Dr Lucas leads the team responsible for UK work on Energy, Climate and Environment in the Middle East and North Africa. This includes work on climate security and resilience, energy transitions and green finance. Simon has over 25 years’ experience in climate, energy and development projects around the world including Middle East, Levant and North Africa Zambia, Pakistan, Botswana, Vietnam, Kenya, Uganda, India and Nepal, as well leading work on adaptation and climate finance for the UK government, including UNFCCC negotiations. He holds a degree in engineering and development, a masters in renewable energy and the environment and a PHD in hydropower.
