
Mr. Muhammad Alsalim
Director of Projects Department at the Arab Gulf Programme for Development – AGFUND
Muhammad Alsalim has around 12 years of experience in development focusing on Financial Inclusion and Microfinance. He assisted in preparing feasibility studies for greenfield Microfinance Institutions in a number of Arab Countries, participated in developing new products and services, helped preparing policies and procedures, and worked in close relation with central banks to issue the licenses required to launch MFIs. Alsalim is part of the AGFUND technical Microfinance Unit that helped establishing 9 Financial Inclusion Banks in Jordan, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Sierra Leone, Lebanon, Sudan, Palestine, and Mauritania. He is also a member of Board of Directors in Alamal Microfinance Bank in Yemen and Ibdaa Microfinance Bank in Mauritania.
Currently, Alsalim is working as the Director of Projects Department at the Arab Gulf Programme for Development – AGFUND that’s based in Riadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Alsalim holds a master’s degree in international commerce and policy from Valparaiso University, Indiana, USA
